Detailed 8-Day Kashmir Itinerary
After your arrival at Jammu, drive towards Pahalgam. En route, visit the historic Awantipora Ruins. Upon arrival, check in at the resort, get fresh, and spend your quality time near the scenic River Lidder. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
After a healthy breakfast, explore the best of Pahalgam. Visit Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Chandanwari. Post lunch, enjoy a pony ride to Baisaran Valley, known as “Mini Switzerland.” Visit the Pahalgam Zoo and Pahalgam Club, followed by shopping at the famous Pahalgam Market in the evening. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out from Pahalgam and proceed to Srinagar. Visit the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat and Shalimar, followed by Pari Mahal, Chashme Shahi, and Shankaracharya Temple. Enjoy a Shikara Ride on Dal Lake before checking in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar.
After breakfast, head to Sonmarg, one of Kashmir’s most beautiful hill stations. Visit Zojila Zero Point, a high mountain pass, and the Thajwas Glacier (5 km from Sonmarg). Spend time along the River Sind, capturing the serene views. Return to Srinagar, have dinner, and overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, drive towards Drass to visit the Kargil War Memorial (also called the Drass War Memorial). Built by the Indian Army to honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1999 Kargil War, the site features the Victory Wall, war museum, and memorial flame surrounded by the Tololing Hills. Return to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg. Stop en route at Apple Gardens and Tangmarg for photography. In Gulmarg, board the Gondola Cable Car Ride to Khilanmarg (Stage 1) and Affarwat (Stage 2). Visit the Famous Shiva Temple, then return to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
